Where the jobs are
Customs and Border Protection offices are in all Australian capital cities with central office based in Canberra. A large number of roles are based at International airports and seaports and so are based in those states and regions.
Eligibility
To be considered for a job in Customs and Border Protection you must be an Australian citizen. If you are not an Australian citizen, but are eligible for citizenship, your application may be considered. You are encouraged to begin your application for citizenship if you are considering a position in Customs and Border Protection.
Conditions
Engagement is conditional on undergoing a Customs and Border Protection Organisational Suitability Assessment (OSA) as well as a security assessment through the Australian Government Security Vetting Agency (AGSVA). Once your security clearances are confirmed, you will also be required to undergo a medical examination and meet the required standard. A probationary period of six months exists for all employees engaged. Further information about conditions can be found in Customsand Border Protection Enterprise Agreement.
