Customs and Border Protection Trainees (Trainees) undergo an intensive 26-week training program, which combines theory, practical application of knowledge, work simulations and on the job training.
Trainees may be initially assigned to work in either Passengers or Cargo Division. Trainees assigned to Passengers Division will perform various border and protection activities within an International Airport. Trainees assigned to Cargo are based in a variety of places including International mail, Cargo Examination Facilities Sea Cargo and Air Cargo.
Customs and Border Protection expect to be recruiting Trainees throughout 2011/12. Detailed information on expected recruitment timeframes can be viewed at what to expect.
