Common Customs Data Model
Comment from Australian industry is invited on this important Customs data harmonisation and simplification initiative being jointly produced under the auspices of the Group of 7 economies and the World Customs Organisation.
G7 Customs administrations were tasked by Heads of State to examine data requirements with a view to minimising their overall impact on the international trading community. Already the current draft has reduced the maximum set of data required by Customs from over 800 elements to around 140, the intention is to reduce them still further.
