Customs annual procurement plan
In accordance with the Commonwealth Procurement Guidelines, Customs and Border Protection is required to publish on AusTender, an Annual Procurement Plan containing information on significant procurement activities proposed for the coming financial year. This report can be accessed at http://www.tenders.gov.au.
Requests for Tender, Expressions of Interest and other Approaches to the Market
Customs and Border Protection may make an approach to the market inviting potential suppliers to participate in a procurement. Open approaches to the market include requests for tender, requests for expressions of interest and requests for application for inclusion on a multi-use list.
Select approaches to the market include invitations to tender in a select process in accordance with the requirements for select tendering outlined in the Commonwealth Procurement Guidelines.
All invitations to participate in an open tender procurement process are advertised on AusTender at http://www.tenders.gov.au
Multi-use lists
Customs and Border Protection uses the Department of Finance and Deregulations Multi Use Lists (MUL's) for purchases of Information and
Communication Technology (ICT) goods and services under a select tender process. Further information on how suppliers can register to be included on the ICT MUL's is available at www.finance.gov.au/procurement
Inclusion of an ICT supplier on the ICT MUL does not imply that the Australian Government endorses the use of that supplier's products or services.
