SEARCHING FOR AN AIRLINE CODE
Every airline in the world has two unique identifying codes: a two-character alpha code (carrier code) as well as a three character numeric code (airway bill prefix). These codes are assigned by the International Air Transport Authority (IATA) to each airline. These codes are standard and recognised throughout the aviation and related industries.
Airline codes are required on export declarations, departure reports, export main (outward) manifests, impending arrival reports as well as in other areas of the ICS.
