SUBMITTING AN AMENDED IMPORT DECLARATION
The Import Declaration (N10) Navigation Options Amend screen enables users with the appropriate access to submit an amended import declaration.
The All Mandatory Information Provided checkboxes are updated by the ICS as each section is completed. When all mandatory information
is entered the Submit button is enabled and the amended import declaration can be submitted.
If the declaration has been paid and the goods have not been dealt with, or a GST input credit has been claimed for the previous
version, the Import Declaration (N10) Amend Questions screen displays and the status of these two fields may, depending on the previous answer/s, be updated. This screen will only be displayed after the amended import declaration has been submitted, and when at least one of the questions is required.
Note: The GST question will not display if GST was originally deferred. Once the goods delivered question has been answered 'Yes'
and the GST question has been answered "No', these responses cannot be changed. If the questions were answered incorrectly it is necessary to contact Customs for an Authority to Amend.
After submitting, search for the import declaration via the Import Document Search screen. If any errors exist when the declaration
is returned, the Errors hyperlink displays. Click on the Errors hyperlink to view the Business Errors screen.
Once the errors have been viewed, click on the OK button to return to the Import Declaration (N10) Navigation Options Amend screen
and rectify the error in the appropriate part of the import declaration. The import declaration must be re-submitted.
Duty, taxes and charges are recalculated and can be viewed using the Duty, Taxes & Charges hyperlink.
If no errors exist, the Lodgement/Community Protection Questions hyperlink displays. Click on the Lodgement/Community Protection
Questions hyperlink to answer these questions and to lodge the declaration.
To submit an amended import declaration:
Step 1. From one of the following screens, click on the Save button:
* Import Declaration (N10) Header Amend
* Import Declaration (N10) Transport Details Amend
* Import Declaration (N10) Tariff Line Summary Amend.
The Import Declaration Navigation Options Amend screen displays.
The Import Declaration (Nature 10) Navigation Options Create screen enables users to submit an amended import declaration.
All fields are read-only.
The bold red text at the top of the screen indicates whether the import declaration is incomplete (not submitted) or submitted (not lodged).
The All Mandatory Information Provided checkboxes are updated by the ICS as each section is completed.
The Submit button is only displayed if all mandatory information is provided.
Note: To return to the ICS Home Page without submitting amended import declaration details, click on the Return to Home Page button.
Step 2. Click on the Submit button.
Note: the Submit button is only active when all mandatory information has been entered.
A confirmation message displays:
